Responsible Play
Our Commitment
At Savvy Competitions, we believe competitions should be fun, fair, and enjoyed responsibly. While our prize draws are skill-based competitions (not gambling), we recognise that spending on competitions should always be within your means.
Age Restrictions
You must be 18 years or older to enter any Savvy Competitions prize draw. We verify age during registration and may request photographic ID before releasing prizes. Any entries from under-18s will be voided and refunded.
Play Within Your Means
- Set a personal budget for competition entries and stick to it.
- Never enter competitions with money you cannot afford to lose.
- Remember that winning is never guaranteed — enter for the fun of it.
- Take regular breaks and don't chase losses.
Self-Exclusion
If you feel you need a break, you can request a self-exclusion period of 1, 3, 6, or 12 months. During this time, your account will be suspended and you will be unable to enter any competitions. To request self-exclusion, email hello@savvycompetitions.co.uk with the subject line "Self-Exclusion Request".
Spending Limits
You can set a monthly spending limit on your account at any time via your account settings. Spending limits are technically enforced at checkout — if a purchase would exceed your monthly limit, it is automatically blocked before payment is taken. This is not a recommendation; it is a hard technical control.
- Limits can be lowered immediately — the reduced limit applies to your next purchase.
- Limit increases take 24 hours to take effect, as required by the DCMS Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators.
- Monthly spend resets on the 1st of each calendar month.
- You can view your current monthly spend and remaining allowance in your Spending Limit settings.
